Q. What time is check in/out?
Standard check in is 4 pm, and check out is 11 am
Usually I am able to accommodate times to suit the actual arrival & departure of your flights. Please just ask me, and I will do my best to accommodate your request.
Q. Smoking?
Smoking outside on the decks is not a problem, and ashtrays are provided. Please make sure that all cigarettes and cigars are fully extinguished and placed in an ashtray. The surrounding bush can be very dry, and the nearest fire engine is 40 minutes away (and that's if it's working!).
Q. Is there a maximum number of people?
The maximum occupancy is 4 people.
Q. How do I get to Da Sugar House from the airport?
There are taxi's available, or I can pre-book one you at your cost (please pay the driver directly). The best value transport on island is to rent a car. There are several companies offering this service, but depending on the size and style of vehicle required, I can arrange or recommend the best value one in Exuma.
Q. How did the house get it's name?
Every morning you will see yellow finch birds buzzing around waiting for their morning bowl of sugar. There can be up to a dozen at a time, and they are fascinating to watch as you have your morning coffee (or tea) on the rear deck.
